Looking from hindsight,did Steve McNair really deserved to be in contention for the Heisman?
Steve McNair was selected by Sports Illustrated for the pick for the Heisman trophy back in the 90′s…. He was QB at Div 2 Alcorn State, was he really a serious candidate or just a promo for SI that worked well in his favor as far as name recognition?
There isn’t a soul that thinks McNair would’ve put those kinds of numbers in D1.
