Los Angeles Dodgers – A Team With An Impressive Track Record

Every country is known to have their home sport which is watched and played the most. For Americans, the sport is baseball. With there being so many teams in the current baseball league, one that has been known to stand out quite a lot are the Los Angeles Dodgers. As you may have already guessed from the name, the Los Angeles Dodgers are a baseball team that is based in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been around for quite some time now. They were known to become part of the major baseball league in the year 1883. This particular team was known to originate from New York in this particular year. It wasn’t until the season of 1932 when the team moved to California and earned its nickname as the Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are popularly known for a number of different reasons. One of the main reasons is due to the number of titles that they have won since their existence. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the most National League pennants in comparison to any other state team in the major baseball league. The dodgers currently stand at a tall 21 wins. This mark has not been met by any other team in the league.

Having appeared in a total of eighteen World Series games, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been known to win six times. With many new prospects being added to the team on a regular basis, it is only a matter of time before we see the Dodgers win their next silverware.

The current home kit for the Los Angeles Dodgers is a standard white shirt and trousers with a contrast of blue. The contrast color of blue is seen in the socks and cap of the uniform. The cap that is worn by the Los Angeles Dodgers is known to have a cap insignia that represents where they are from. The current cap insignia is the letters “L”
and “A” which represent Los Angeles.

One of the ways by which any team is recognized regardless of the sport that they represent is the logo of the team. The Los Angeles Dodgers team logo is quite popular amongst the fans worldwide due to its simplicity. The logo compromises of the word “Dodgers” that is written in a diagonal layout. This is accompanied by a baseball in the top right hand corner with shot marks going across the plane.

There have been a number of famous players that have retired from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Names that are still remembered even today include; Pee Wee Reese and Tommy Lasorda. Pee Wee Reese wore the number one shirt as the coach for the team in the early years. He retired in 1984.
