Starting a team from scratch and you had a choice, would you sign a young JOHNNY UNITAS or a young JOE MONTANA?
NOTE: I find it quite interesting that these 2 guys are both arguably the 2 greatest quarterbacks of all time, AND NEITHER of them stood over six-two, NEITHER of them weighed over 200 pounds, and NEITHER of them had “track star mobility”.
It is quite possible that NEITHER of these legends would go in the first round nowadays…….THAT’S ALARMING!
Maybe the NFL needs to rethink always trying to draft a guy’s that are either the size of dinosaurs or that are incredibly mobile.
Maybe the actual ABILITY to play quarterback comes down to just that-ABILITY…….NOT how big or mobile a guy is. XO
ANYWAY, enough of my editorial. Which of these 2 guys would you take?
Nobody can play in clutch situations better that Joe Montana. In fact, he played better when the game was on the line. The trust he instilled to his teammates gave them the confidence to win games. He was a great leader and considered a QB that ripped out the hearts of every team that played against either the 49ers or Chiefs.
