Who will be the Washington Capitals goalie of the future? Varlamov, Neuvirth or Holtby?

The Washington Capitals are probably the only team in the NHL with three goalies 22 or younger who appear to have great promise. Which of Semyon Varlamov (22), Michal Neuvirth (22) or Braden Holtby (21) has the most potential and why?

When the season began, it was Varly’s to lose. Unfortunately, I think all his injury problems means he lost it. Michael Neuvirth looks like he’ll be #1 heading into the playoffs, with Varly number 2. If Neuvy plays well, I see them trading Varly (and getting a lot in return, since talented young goalies with playoff experience are hard to come by). Holtby is #3 right now, but I think the Caps keep him and one of the other two. If Neuvirth gets the start and plays well in the playoffs, he’s the goalie of the future (and the guy has never lost a playoff series at the minors or juniors levels, so hopefully he continues that in the playoffs). However, if he struggles and Varly has to come in and replace him (like he did with Theodore the last 2 years), and he plays well, then he’s back to #1 for next year. However, whereas Neuvy locking it up would probably lead to Varly being traded, if Varly is #1, I think you keep Neuvy, since Varly has had injury problems the last couple years.

However, the Caps are the first team to have 3 goalies 22 or under each with at least 6 games in the same season (and I believe the first to have 3 goalies 22 or younger to get a shutout in the same season), which is a great sign for them, whichever guy they go with.
